This is my very first collection in my life...the name for this collection is 《追遠》. 《追遠》is a chinese word which means one should remember their origins, remember their family roots & should not forget their ancestors & where they came from. This collection is a combination of Peranakan style & Old School style. The reason I combine these two styles arises from my family background that my paternal families are descendents of the Peranakan. I want to re-line the unique culture & styles of The Baba & Nyonya to let the people appreciate & know more about the culture. The Old School style is most popular during the 70s & 80s. It's also the period that my parent went through on youth. Personally it is a style which I like the most & that's how I came up with this combination & theme name.
